Finding Inspiration and Community in and out of the Arena

At Windamawr, we pride ourselves on customizing our program to meet you and your horses needs. We are a "boutique" show barn - a small community of dressage, hunter and jumper riders that support each other in our development, care and competition goals.

Our Story

The West side of the Twin cities offers quite a few riding facilities... from school barns to A-Circuit traveling show stables. But there are few that ride the line in between while still offering the support and care of the high end show barns. Rachel and Jenny set out to create a facility that was large enough to create a fun, supportive community, but small enough to offer personalized training, care and attention. We go to the local shows and several away A-Shows, but don't disappear all show season or winter. We do offer lessons, but are not a lesson barn full of school ponies. And most of all, we like to have fun.

Meet the Team

Head Trainer, Wolf Equestrian

Rachel Wolf

Rachel has built a program in the West Metro area of the Twin Cities with a focus on strong fundamentals by combining her knowledge of Classical Dressage, Hunter/Jumper/Equitation as well as equine and human biomechanics. Her 28 year riding career includes time training in Europe as well as our US Equestrian Meca's where she learned and honed her craft from US trainers including Max Von Blucher, Jim Graham, Alan Vallencourt and Allison Sader Larson; European trainers including Rico Lorengel, Hans Jörg Radandt to name a few. These experiences give Rachel a different perspective than most, which she brings to the ring when working with her students and their horses as well as in her other passion of breeding and training warmblood sport horses. The fuel to her passion lies in helping her clients to achieve their goals - training at home and preparing for the show ring as well as importing new equine partners for her clients to go to the next level on.

Barn Manager

Jenny Harris

Jenny has balanced her love of riding and competing with her career in advertising and marketing. She has a passion for creating a fun, safe and inclusive equine environment backed in a solid equine management foundation having graduated successfully from the British Horse Society PPT Program. These days you can find Jenny competing in the jumper or Eq rings or galloping the hunter pace fields with the LLHs.

Property Manager

Elder Mendez

Elder is the BEST stable and property manager in the horse business. He cares for our horses with a gentle touch and an immense amount of knowledge after gaining his eduction from working on the western show circuit.
